Recently, I have given much thought to the truth in the lyrics of my song in the previous post. We are living in an age of great changes and divisions. There is tremendous instability in homes, schools and even churches. Our world cries out for something solid and dependable to which to cling.
A recentĀ post by John Teilet was so impressive that I felt I should share it with my readers. An excerpt is included below. John is one of my favorite bloggers. He’s always insightful and entertaining. I think you will find a visit to his blog well worth your time.
“Change happens; I understand that. Gradual change is much easier to comprehend, maybe because you can see it coming and prepare yourself. People change along the same lines, some slow, some fast, some so fast it’s hard to watch. Change is also hard to watch when it seems to be for the worst. It’s unbearable, almost, when a bad change happens so fast it floors you. Even worse is the thought that the person you knew so well did not actually ever change, but just gave up the act, the facade, the person you knew so well.”
