Barack Obama seems to have a big problem with small town America, especially Pennsylvania and possibly–even me.

“You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them…And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not.

“And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”

I am from a small town in Pennsylvania and it fleetingly crossed my mind that I was targeted when I heard his condescending insults to the folks of Pennsylvania. Should these imaginings be real, read on, Barack, I have much more to say.

On an encouraging note, many Americans are starting to pay attention and wising up. For more and more people, “It would take a willing suspension” of humour to take either of these candidates seriously anymore. If you’ve read some of my earlier posts, you know that I had both of them pegged from the jump. When I first posted my assessment of Barack, no one was saying a negative thing about him. “Fox” even seemed mesmerized by his, “Charismatic and brilliant oratorical skills”. Nowadays, most at Fox understand that it doesn’t take a genius or honesty to give an impressive speech. Of course, to the MSM and liberals Barack is still the descended god from Olympus, while their once beloved Hillary has become the Wicked Witch of all directions. They’ve tossed her overboard like a barrel of bad cheese. Poor thing!

I am certainly not the most ardent McCain supporter. However, in comparison to Hillary and Barack, Senator John McCain looks like a gem and is the only semi sensible choice for the presidency. At least, we don’t have to doubt everything he says. It is still early but I trust that by November people will have concluded that we cannot turn the reins of leadership of this nation over to the likes of Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama. Democratic candidates need to be taken with a great deal of doubt and salt.  So stock up.

Every week brings some new baggage for Hillary and Barack to shoulder. Every week there are more questions concerning their character and integrity as both candidates become increasingly difficult to believe.
