No one but God knows when Jesus will return to this world. However, many Christians believe we are living in the end times. We are admonished to observe the signs of the times and not be caught unawares. And we are also advised not to be taken in by false prophets. There have always been those who are willing to exploit the biblically ignorant and gullible segments of society. And they have predicted specific dates for the “Second Coming of Christ”. These predictions by false prophets, in themselves, fulfill Biblical prophecy.

For the Christian, it is of little consequence when this event occurs. The sooner the better. We are to be ready at all times. However, for the unprepared non-believer, it will not be a pretty picture:

Mathew 24:29-30
Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Mathew 24:50-51
The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

To me, Jesus’ descriptions truly do indicate a, “Mighty Power Awakening”.
